Our Story — From Guangzhou Workshop to Global Golf Apparel Factory
How Mega Elephant became a trusted OEM/ODM partner for golf clubs, brands and distributors across Europe and North America.
Fifteen years ago, a small team of garment makers in Guangzhou set out to build a different kind of clothing factory — one that listened to Western buyers, invested in fabric testing, and treated every order (50 pcs or 50,000 pcs) with the same care. That team became Mega Elephant.
Our Journey
From a Guangzhou workshop to a global custom golf apparel factory.
2010 — The Workshop in Guangzhou
Founded in 2010, Mega Elephant started as a 12-person workshop serving local sportswear brands. From day one, we specialized in polo shirts, quarter-zip pullovers and outerwear — the same core products we still lead with today.
2015 — First European Buyers
By 2015, our first European golf distributors came on board, asking for OEKO-TEX certified fabrics and BSCI-aligned working conditions. We invested in fabric testing equipment and our first BSCI audit — a turning point for the factory.
2018 — In-House Sampling Studio
We opened a dedicated sampling studio with digital sublimation printers, computerised embroidery and an in-house QC lab. Sampling time dropped from 14 days to 3 days, and our revision rate improved dramatically.
2021 — Sustainable Fabric Line
We launched our recycled-polyester (rPET) and bamboo-charcoal fabric lines to meet demand from European buyers for more sustainable custom golf apparel. Today, rPET makes up roughly 40% of our golf polo production.
2026 — Serving 30+ Countries
Today, Mega Elephant produces custom golf polo shirts, custom golf apparel, custom golf quarter zips, and team uniforms for buyers in 30+ countries — primarily across the EU, UK, US, Canada, Mexico, and Australia.
